Tweez to Please

Made a quick video with the app Quik. It's so fun and creative for short and to the point videos!! The tweezers mentioned in the video are an amazingly sharp and precise set for all types of blackhead extractions and removing stubborn hairs like eyebrows or ingrown hairs. I love them, but I did honestly like them for my hubby since he likes using them too. He loves everyone of the tools. Comes with 3 tweezers with protectors (because they are super sharp!!), and 3 extractors.

Conveniently comes in a carrying case that is super helpful because knowing my hubby he will forget to use them, or worse he'll forget to store them properly. This way there's no excuse as to where they are, unless he misplaces the whole thing, then, well he's SOT lol! But all in all this set has been keeping my brows in check, and keeping hubby satisfied with his blackhead removal. He's a bit of a pimple popping addict! It's kinda cute if you ask me.. But it may be because he's my husband, and I secretly like popping them too.. I know, kinda gross. But it's oddly very satisfying, if done properly without too much damage to the skin!! Beauty School tricks of the trade starting to really paying off. (and i was told it wouldn't be worth it)

Here's my youtube video

Thanks so much for reading. Hope you found this somewhat entertaining.

New Hair Who Dis?

Every once in a while I get a little crazy when it comes to my hair choices. For the longest time I've always had it short, and I mean real short. I had a sudden urge to rebel against hair, and went Pixie in high school. Not sure if I've ever mentioned that here yet but a good update doesn't hurt. Well tonight I did a thing... For a whole year and a half now I've been growing out my hair, and it's gotten pretty long. I'm super proud of myself. My hubby loves it!!

But it's also gotten to a point where there isn't much of a style to it at the moment. So here i go again and ... BOOM!!!

I gave myself bangs!! It's a cute way to change it up, and at first i'm always going nuts over the shortness around my face.. And if i'm being honest I might have gone a little too short for my comfort...

It'll take me some time and maybe a completed look with a full face of makeup and a cleaner less oily scalp..

I was testing out this new set of hair cutting shears, and i'm in love with the quality. They take me back to my beauty school years. Nice and heavy, sharp (a huge plus), and a completed set with thinning shears, clips, cleaning cloth, comb and a leather case to carry it all in. Perfect starter set for those getting into hair cutting. This set I ordered it off Amazon http://amzn.to/2C1RJUg . I didn't realize there was a different color until it was too late, I would've opted for the blue hawaiian style. I got the black stripe set, and it is a really pretty sleek chic look!

Have fun if you get this set. I can't wait to use it on my kids!!

The Music to my Soul

A daily routine has got to be the best thing you can do for yourself. Everyone should have one, and stick to it for better overall healthy lifestyle choices. Me on the other hand, I wish I could sit down and plan out my day exactly the way I would like for it to go. But that's not always going to happen. Why? Two words... MY BOYS!!

As a mom of two little boys, 8 and 4 to be exact, my everyday situation varies from day to day, month to month, even year to year... Depending on what I'm going thru that day, week or month. As well as whether the kids are on vacation from school. Our daily routines haven't always been as consistent as I wish they would be. Not to mention our living situation doesn't necessarily help. One thing that is for sure it that I always try to incorporate Music into my life!

My favorite way to listen to music has got to be, hands down, is in the shower. Full volume, singing in the shower, dancing in the water (safely because.. um... slip!). So of course I'm always a huge fan of playing my Spotify playlist that makes me wanna move on either my phone, or iPad, whichever one my boys don't currently have in their possession. But for longest time, I had always struggled with a way of listening to my favorites, and skipping the ones i didn't want to listen to, without leaving the shower... Until NOW!!!

I recently was given the opportunity to try this little gadget out. I bought him off Amazon, and got it delivered really quick, (thanks to Amazon Prime)

I fell in love with him immediately!!  He so compact and perfect for the shower. Nice and loud, and sticks to the wall with a little suction cup, and can also be clipped to a backpack or belt loop for on the go. Connect your Bluetooth with your phone and please whatever you have running. You can also change the song as well as pause music with the buttons on the side

Packed with a ton of other awesome goodies, charging cable and box but also plugs into any USB, a micro SD memory card 8gb, and a mini usb drive to upload music from your computer to listen to without your phone being connected. Check out their listing on amazon by clicking here http://amzn.to/2E8lrYS

It’s an awesome gift for anyone who needs a little extra boost in their routine by listening to their favorite music through this perfect little device.

Beauty is Skin deep.. But better outside is a confidence boost!

Everyone knows that we all go through these patches in our life that we wish were easier to tackle. Well this happens just about everyday for me, my entire life!! For as long as I can remember I've been a bit on the heavier side. Not your average girl for being an active child. It's been a long and somewhat traumatic road for my weight management, but I am determined that in 2018 I will become much more healthy and really start working on my lifestyle choices.

I had recently started going to the gym with my sister and we were killing it. Everyday for about a month we were going pretty consistently. Even though it's been quite hard to get up these past few weeks due to the weather I will start going again. I recently started my own membership, but not gonna lie I haven't gone due to poor sleeping habits, and letting myself give the dumbest excuses.
Taken Oct. 19, 2017 I was down 30lbs

This coming year it's going to change. Starting with wardrobe. Which by far is probably one of my biggest excuses, lack of gym clothes. I was going thru all of my "gym" related clothing, and i discovered that many of my pieces were all for much warmer weather. Thus giving me the "ok" to not get up in the morning and go to the gym at freezing temperatures!! I know, it's not an excuse. But give me a break, I lost my gym partner, and I really lack the self motivation. Any way... My mom gave me new sneakers for the gym for my birthday, and i had found an awesome deal on leggings from Pop Fit (which due to weight gain this month, will probably be more snug on me now... oops) and I love them!! They haven't quite met the gym yet, but they will, very very soon!!

I did want to mention one piece of clothing that I've actually been wanting for months now, and I finally got my hands on one!!

http://amzn.to/2l2oXfs
It's super comfortable to wear and because they have removable cups it can be washed easily without ruining the insides like other bras. I choose pink because it's my favorite color, and it helps me feel empowered knowing that my girls are being protected, and I can still go hard in the gym!!

My journey has only just begun, and it will only get better from here. Wish me luck, and I will post my progress as I get the courage and energy to get up to go the gym!

Life Update: Personal, Family, Business, and more!

Where do I even start? Seriously, I've got to be the worse social media person ever... maybe not entirely, but only because life gets complicated and it's difficult to know what to take care of more. If you follow me on Instagram, or even Snapchat, I'm totally loving that. Facebook is where i'm at most of the time but hiding in groups. Others who know me know that my family is a huge priority, and thus they get the great majority of my attention. But my heart is torn between my in personal life and my social media presence I am so desperately trying to build (and will get there).

Anywho, if you've read this far you're a rockstar. But let's take a time travel trip down memory lane and get you up to speed.

The last time I posted was in 2014, I ended up starting a job that changed my whole scheduling. I was peaking social media, and I went to add a job that didn't allow me to do any of that. So I hit the breaks...BAD!!! I was working at a storage facility as an assistant manager, then promoted to Property manager after only 5 months. I'd like to dive into the nitty gritty details, but it would take up way too much time, and reliving those memories are not what I'm trying to get to. Stay positive here.

That takes us to 2015, where it got real. Unfortunately this dream position was about to come to an end, catapulting us back to ground zero mid year. Trying to stay afloat and not drown in our own self pity. Moved back in my parents had to of been the big set back of that year, but we had to move on.

Now, in 2016 it was getting better, I was able to land a job that for me is more of a foot in the door that a end all work environment for me. I loved it because I was also able to spend much more time with my kids on vacation times. Working as a Cafeteria Helper was simple, yet satisfying to say the least. Like i mentioned, it was a foot in the door... Until that door shut on me 11 months later.

Which brings me to this year, 2017. This year has by far been one of the biggest roller-coaster rides of them all. At the beginning of the year I lost my job in February. Which many know was a shocker because of how good I was at it. I needed only a few weeks before I could apply for a higher position in the district. But alas, it was short and again back to ground zero for me again. A few months passed by and I wasn't getting any luck, and then there came April. In April 2017, I was blessed with the opportunity to join Perfectly Posh. Quite possibly the best company to join when i needed them most. This is definitely a story to dive into in a separate blog.

A few short weeks later I had an accident that changed my life full circle. I fractured and dislocated my right ankle. Ouch! By far the worse pain I had ever felt. Let's just say being on crutches all summer really bummed me out. The upside to all of this was that I did manage to lose some weight..... 25 lbs to be exact. I was thrilled, and with 2 surgeries under my belt, I felt great. I said to myself that I would start walking as soon as I was able. September was the month that all went down. Sadly in august my family suffered a traumatic experience that I will not get into, but it was by far the most difficult thing my kids, my husband and I have ever been thru.

So come September, I was discharged and ready to start walking. My last surgery was on the 13th, I was still on crutches for about 2-3 days and I began to walk again. One thing I had always wanted was to join the gym, which I did at the beginning of the year, but had to cancel due to lack of funding. Then my sister had asked if i wanted to accompany her, I said YES! We started going, and everything was great i felt healthy, eating better, getting up early, and staying active. It's been a rough road to walk but i felt proud of myself. Clothes were fitting much better, and I felt sexy again. Even hubby loved how I was shaping out to be.

Crazy how life throws curve balls, but it's up to us to know how to swing at them. My fitness journey has been hard to maintain, but I am determined to continue and get better at doing it. My business journey is going to grow bigger in 2018. I will have a social media presence! Youtube videos, instagram posting, blogging, snapchatting... the WORKS!!!

You'll see.. 2018 Come at me Bruh!!
